- Introduction
- I joined the company in 2024 and am currently a member of the Power Plant & Battery Sales Department. In my previous roles at a logistics company and a machine tool manufacturer, I gained experience in distribution management and customer relations, developing strong coordination and communication skills. I enjoy interacting with people and value maintaining a positive and proactive attitude toward any challenge.
What made you decide to join the company?
In my previous jobs at a logistics company and a machine tool manufacturer, I found it rewarding to work supporting the manufacturing site by co-ordinating the transportation of products and communicating with the site. In particular, I had the experience of working hard to co-ordinate with local authorities and coordinate delivery dates for certain overseas projects, which strengthened my desire to test my abilities in a global environment. Although I had no experience in sales, I was attracted to the company’s environment, where I could take on the challenges of the global market, and decided to join the company.
Are there any gaps you felt when you joined the company?
As this was my first attempt at a sales job, I felt a strong pressure to “solve everything by myself” due to my mid-career position. In reality, however, everyone in the department welcomed me warmly and there was an atmosphere in which I could easily ask for help with anything I didn’t understand, so I was able to tackle my work with peace of mind. I find it very rewarding to be able to work with my own discretion in an environment that respects the spirit of challenge. At the same time, I am able to experience a wider range of work than I had imagined, including not only sales activities but also administrative work, and I feel that I am growing as a person.
What is your current job description? (Please also tell us how rewarding that job is)
Currently, I am in charge of providing equipment owned by customers, both domestic and foreign, at a fair price. I visit customers’ plants and offices to assess equipment and discuss sales. As I often travel domestically and overseas, I feel that my perspective is naturally broadened by being exposed to local culture and business practices. I also arrange for the smooth transport of storage batteries purchased in China by domestic customers to Japan, and I find it fulfilling and rewarding to expand my skills and perspective while absorbing new knowledge every day in an environment where I can be involved in a wide range of tasks on the global market.

What do you value in your work?
Many of the customers who contact us already face some challenges. That is why we place the utmost importance on speed and sincerity in our response, so that we can first of all be attentive to the concerns of our customers and leave them in peace of mind. We do our best to create results that are beneficial to all three parties, not only in resolving issues, but also in creating trust and long-term value beyond that, in cooperation with partner companies and within the company. I also try to be grateful to all the people involved and to approach my daily work with sincerity.
What jobs would you like to do in the future?
I have been involved in projects for Japanese companies mainly in Japan and Asia, but in the future I would like to actively challenge myself in untapped markets such as Europe. Working in different cultures and business practices can be challenging, but I feel that there are more than enough opportunities to learn and grow. My goal is to broaden my international perspective through experience in new markets and to develop the ability to be a trusted sales representative in any region. I aim to further hone my flexibility and responsiveness, and to become a global value provider.
How do you spend your holidays?
On my days off, I often enjoy watching baseball games as a hobby. As our head office is located in Yokohama, I visit the nearby Yokohama Stadium once a month to cheer on the Yokohama DeNA Bay Stars. I especially enjoy drinking beer while watching the game, which is a moment of bliss for me.
