Frequently Asked Questions FAQ

About Application

What level of English proficiency is required?

While we do not place special emphasis on English skills at the time of application, our company has overseas offices and conducts many international transactions. Naturally, English is required in these fields, and foreign language communication will become increasingly important in the future. However, we provide an environment where you can improve your English skills after joining, so we do not require a specific level at the time of application. You can gradually build your skills through your work.

I have no knowledge or experience in trade. Can I still apply?

Of course, it is possible. We have a one-month training programme for new recruits. We hope that you will be enthusiastic about working with us after joining the company. In our selection process, we place more emphasis on your attitude towards things and your personality than on your department or major.

About Selection Process

What kind of selection tests are there?

The process consists of document screening, a first interview, an SPI test, and a final interview. We place great importance on personality, so we encourage you to present yourself openly. The first interview is conducted online, while the final interview is in person. Before the interviews, we also arrange casual meetings so that you can see our company as it really is.

What points are evaluated in the first interview and executive interview?

A. In the first interview, we ask about your motivation, self-promotion, and experiences during your student years. We also look at basic skills needed as a professional, such as manners, appearance, and language use. In the final interview, we focus on whether you are a good fit for our company. We evaluate your detailed motivation, level of commitment, past experiences, and clarity of your career plan. We would love to hear about your aspirations, what you want to try, and what you hope to achieve with us.

About Working Environment

How is the assignment decided for new graduates after joining?

After completing a one-month training program, new employees are assigned to departments based on their aptitude, preferences, and staffing needs. Some may stay in the same department for years, while others may transfer within a year. For example, even if you wish to join the Sales Department, you may first spend a year in the Operations Department learning trade procedures, which helps you understand sales work more effectively. In any department, you will be supported by a mentor who ensures you can settle in comfortably.

What kind of support systems are available for obtaining qualifications and skill development?

We have a qualification support system. Eligible certifications include trade and logistics qualifications (such as Trade Practice Certification, International Logistics Specialist, Security Export Control Certification, and Customs Broker), English qualifications (such as Eiken and TOEIC), as well as MOS, bookkeeping, administrative scrivener, and labor and social security attorney, among others. Exam fees and bonuses are provided. For qualifications required by the company, transportation, course fees, textbooks, and bonuses are covered. In addition, we hold in-house study sessions once a month, including lectures on international trade trends. Employees may also attend external training programs as needed.

How often do overseas business trips occur in a year?

It depends on the department and the projects in charge. In some cases, it may be about five to six times a year, though this varies depending on workload and busy seasons. Separate from business trips, we also have a "Trainee Program," where young employees can apply and be selected to work at overseas sites for a period ranging from a few days to up to a year.
